On this lonely planet - I am comforted

After many years of observation and contemplation, as my candle flickers preparing its entry into darkness, I remember fondly how my fellow human has and continues to support me through hardship.  I can hear the cries of the faithful as they insist on including God as a supporter, but my primary basics are exclusively provided by my fellow human.  Not that I cannot turn to an inner solace, but food, shelter, and physical comfort came and continue to come from other humans.

Yes, we can say that God provides this too but it is my fellow humans who found, gathered and helped me feed myself and guard me against tigers, and lions and bears!

We have helped and loved each other become 7.5 billion strong!  How lovely is that!  This could not have happened without humans co-operating with each other for the good of the all.  It was not a solitary venture.  Surprisingly, this has been achieved even though a huge part of humanity acts primitively and selfishly.

In times of tragedy, we now respond very quickly to each other's suffering.  When someone is hurt, instantaneously, hearts join together to send comfort and protection.  We have never lived as well.  Even the ones who have less, are having more as we circulate the abundance.

Daily, the understanding of how we need each other grows.  Certainly, we have problems that require solving but together, we valiantly continue to figure out solutions, together.

We can see evidence of this in the millions of books sharing valuable information the writing humans have gathered and recorded.  We can see this in informational broadcasting as we deliver up-to-date world status to each other.  We can see this as the various groups organize to solve the suffering resulting from a current tragedy.

While we focus on the negative,  our fear neglects to remember something about humanity that we all take for granted.  We love each other more often than not or it would have been impossible to have expanded our numbers to seven billion.

That does not change my frustration with the residue of competition and fear that is also present as we struggle and improve our working together.  However, I never forget to include the other view that contains humanity's beauty.  Some of us, understanding our reliance on each other, support and admire humanity's drive towards cooperation rather than competition.  We believe it is our cooperation that makes us excellent. It is the dream with which we emerge that defines us Great.  The dream of a dimension, where one's heart safe keeps the all and how the one is the heart of the all.

On this lonely planet, a tiny speck in a grand mysterious universe, I honor you, my fellow human.

Unfortunately, there are many who imprisoned and blinded by their fear, destroy what the more aware of us are trying to build.

It frustrates me but how does focusing on what I cannot change beneficial?

I focus therefore on the humans who keep believing in the dream, giving them force by adding my belief to theirs.

What do you believe in, Greunie? You say you are nearing, " As my candle flickers preparing its entry into darkness, I remember fondly how my fellow human has and continues to support me through hardship." I want you to know you don’t have to go into darkness, there is a God out there that loves you and wants to include you in His numbers of those that believe. It breaks my heart to think you believe you are going into darkness.

The darkness I refer to is my exit from this present existence. I will die and what comes after, is not known. I am not afraid of the not knowing. I was born a Catholic but could not stay faithful to a religious doctrine. I had too many questions no religious leader could answer. I am glad you find comfort in believing what others have proposed, I cannot. How lovely you are to be concerned about my suffering, but I am not suffering at all, my friend.

I agree 100% with everything you say
I think the only differences I had been a Follower Way, Catholic who returned to the church
    Another story

However I have been writing about the Subject of your blog for two years

I know everyone finds themselves in the darkness and we then we rebound toward the light and some go back-and-forth Throughout life …Another Story

However Living in the light is so much nicer
    Lol
I could comment on so many things you wrote
    But here’s the big question

    Are you sick?
Have you been given a certain amount of time to live?
Or are you just speaking metaphorically?
I hope that is the case.
We all have a timestamp with
The day we are born day we die
    But there’s a dash in between …
Most of us do not know where we are on the dash
    But others
with terminal illnesses might have a better idea than others
I hope you do not fall into that category

You are very special to me
Even if we haven’t had a lot of contact over the years
    that fact will never change
G…You have made an indelible mark on my heart

I was speaking metaphorically but the more years I amass, the reality is real, as you say, we do not know where we are on the dash. Your concern touches me, thank you, dear Roe.
